Reuben Edward Ricketts & Annie Marie (Jones) Ricketts
born August 8, 1901 at Dry Fork, Virginia.
He was the son of Charlie Edward Ricketts
and Lucy James (Mills) Ricketts.  Be sure to

Our known Ricketts ancestral line goes back
seven generations from my generation.

On December 23, 1922, a great thing
occurred:  my parents, Reuben Edward
Ricketts and Annie Marie Jones were
married.  My mother, who was called Marie,
was born November 12, 1903, the daughter
of Mark Daniel "Dan" Jones and Annie
(Pruett) Jones.

Ricketts had five children:

1.  Helen Idella "Dale" Ricketts was born in
1924. She married James Lynch and they
had three children. Read Idella's poems
about her mother and father.

2.  Marion Garnett Ricketts was born in
1926. Marion married Willie Lewis. After
Willie died, she married Herman Cook.

3.  Ray Eugene Ricketts was born in 1927.
He married Mary Lanier and they had one
child.

4.  Mary Elaine Ricketts was born in 1930.  
Elaine married Coley Edward Gibson and
they had four children.

5.  Robert Daniel "Danny" Ricketts - I was
born in 1941. In 1968, I married Nancye
Barbour and we had three children.

My dad, Reuben Edward Ricketts, died in
July 27, 1957.  He was only 55 years old. My
mother died in December 30, 1978.
